KHS Friends Association

Kingsbury High School Friends Association is a flourishing parent, staff and family group, which organises social and fundraising events to enhance the education of KHS students and support the school’s partnership initiatives.

Parents/carers are members of KHS Friends Association for as long as their children attend the school and can volunteer as much or as little as they like whether its organising fundraising events; helping at school events; joining discussion groups; or attending community focused networking events.

The aim of these events are to raise funds for initiatives to benefit students’ education, learning and development, as well as join together communities and families within our diverse and inspiring school.

If you have any suggestions and/or would like to get more involved, please contact us: friends@kingsburyhigh.org.uk

NEWS

KHS Friends Association  held their first movie night for KHS students on Friday 29   November.   This fund-raising and social event took place in Kingsbury Hall, and despite the unfortunate closure of the Lower School on this day, over 80 students ranging from Years 7 to 11 attended the event!  Thank you for coming along!

Altogether, the event raised  £174.00 for KHS Friends Association.  These funds will go towards KHS student projects and initiatives to improve learning, social and development experiences - more details to follow on this in the Spring Term when KHSFA determine which projects will receive funding.

Special thanks to all the Year 8 students who entered for the poster competition - congratulations to Siham Abdi for the winning poster!  Special thanks also to  the Red Shirts who ran the snack shop, to all staff members who helped supervise and to all students who attended and supported this event.

Students and parents are already putting in requests for another film!  Watch this space.... another movie night will be arranged for the new year.

Thanks for the continued support.
