It gives me great pleasure to write this introduction to our website – and to Kingsbury High School.
Our school motto Spectemur Agendo goes back to the founding of our predecessor school, the Kingsbury County, in the 1920s. It’s Latin for “let us be judged by our actions”.
As you will see elsewhere on this website, our students gain excellent examination results and Ofsted rate the school as “good”. We’re proud to be judged by the actions which have led to those outcomes.
But school is about more than examinations and we are equally proud of the many opportunities we provide for our students beyond the curriculum.
The way we are as a school is expressed through our PRIDE values: Personal Excellence, Respect and Friendship, Inspiration, Determination and Courage, and Equality. Through these, we aim to combine both academic success and the development of the broader aspects of each student’s character.
I have been Headteacher at Kingsbury High, now in my second stint, for over eight years. I love working here, alongside an incredible group of young people and staff.
Whether you are reading this as a member of the Kingsbury High community, a prospective parent, student or member of staff, or are simply taking an interest from afar, I hope that this website gives you a flavour of what makes Kingsbury High a unique school.
