Geography students in Year 10 took a trip to Stratford to investigate flood risks and the severity of flooding of the River Lea on two separate days. Students equipped with their clipboards collected data and draw field sketches – both as part of their GCSE examination of Our Natural World paper in the next academic year. As part of the human geography investigation, students approached the public in Kingsbury High Road with survey questions and counted traffic to investigate quality of life in our local community.
Despite the scorching heat and the 9 km that we walked with different groups each day and I am proud to say that students’ behaviour and their attitude to learning was up to a very high standard, and they also interviewed the public with much maturity, kindness and a polite attitude – exactly what we expect from our students at Kingsbury High. Please congratulate them when you see them in the corridor!
Well done Year 10 Geographers!
