On Wednesday, 7th May, Year 11 students attended their final assembly before the start of their GCSE examinations.
The day began with the traditional signing of shirts, followed by the Leavers Assembly in K Hall. The occasion was filled with a mix of emotions as students reflected on their five years at Kingsbury High School. Several students took to the floor to thank their form tutors, and they were given a heartfelt send-off by their Year Leader, Jermaine Hamilton.
At Kingsbury, we take pride in celebrating this important milestone, confident that our students are ready to take the next step. We wish all our Year 11s the very best in their exams and future endeavours.
Celebrating Success: Year 11 Evening of Achievement
The Year 11 Evening of Achievement provided an opportunity to recognise the tremendous effort and commitment our students have shown across all aspects of school life during the past two years in the Examination Stage.
Selecting nominees was no easy task for staff, given the large number of dedicated and hardworking students. Kingsbury High School is fortunate to have such a motivated cohort who continually strive to reach their full potential.
A total of 138 students were nominated by various faculties, with awards given in recognition of the KHS values: Aspiration, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience.
Musical entertainment was provided by Nikhil P (Year 12) with a piano medley, and by Alleida L-L (Year 11) with a beautiful vocal performance.
The evening concluded with the presentation of the prestigious Headteacher’s Gold, Silver, and Bronze Student of the Year Awards to Qadar M, Lena W, and Mohamed N, respectively.
It was a joy to see K Hall filled with pride, celebration, and a strong sense of community. Our sincere thanks go to all the students, families, and staff who continue to support and champion the success of our Year 11s.
