Jack Petchey Final

We are incredibly proud to announce that one of our talented students, Riya in Year 10, represented KHS at the Jack Petchey ‘Speak Out’ Challenge Regional Final on January 22nd.

After competing against 19 very eloquent young speakers from across the borough, Riya secured a fantastic second-place finish! Riya's speech focused on how our time is precious and she was engaging, funny and thoughtful.

The Jack Petchey Foundation’s "Speak Out" Challenge is the largest youth speaking competition in the world, and coming second in a Regional Final is a remarkable achievement. It takes immense courage to stand before a panel of judges and to share your perspective, and Riya did so with poise and professionalism.
