On Thursday 13th November, three KHS sixth-form students took part in the first round of the prestigious English Speaking Union debating competition at Harrow School.
Katie, Riya and Hayder (all Y13) were opposing the motion ‘This House Would ban dating and relationship-based reality TV’. Despite all three students being relatively new to the world of competitive debating, they all delivered passionate, witty and beautifully articulated speeches under pressure.
I am delighted that the panel of judges declared KHS as one of the round winners, sending us through to the next stage of the competition.
Well done to Katie, Riya and Hayder, and good luck for round two!
