Books influence our lives in many ways – they introduce new words, give us places to escape to and show us how other people live.

This World Book Day students can take their free £1 token to any participating bookshop and use it towards a book purchase of £2.99 or more.

InspirArt, a Young Enterprise Company at Kingsbury High School, is organising a photography competition and would like you to take part.  Managing Director, Ishani Parekh, a Year 12 student, says ‘when we set up our company we decided our aim wasn’t just to make money. We wanted to encourage people in school and the local community to get involved and use their creative skills.  These days, everyone has a camera, so photography seemed the ideal way. Everyone has the potential within; our aim is to encourage them to use it’.

At Kingsbury we take pride in the knowledge that the education and opportunities we provide have enabled our former students to achieve their goals. 

We are planning to use information about past and present KHS students to motivate our younger students to aim high and make the most of their time at KHS.
