Brent Youth Film Festival 2008 |
 The EAL Department was invited to participate in the Dual Language Film Making Project, coordinated by EMTAS in Brent, Preston Manor City Learning Centre and the BBC. The aim of the project was to raise the status and value of the students’ home language and to develop active citizenship in secondary schools, empowering students to feel that their voice is heard.

Send My Friend to School 2008 |
 The school day for Year 7 students was a little different on Friday 23rd May 2008. Instead of the usual lessons and exams, students completed a number of activities to raise awareness for the ‘ Send My Friend 2008’ campaign. Currently, 72 million children around the world do not have the opportunity to go to school, this means that 1 in 9 children do not have access to basic education.

 A group of Year 8 students have been chosen to work on a government funded project called BeatBullying (BB) with a specific focus on inter-faith bullying.
The BB inter-faith approach is one that recognises and celebrates differences and suggests that all faiths should be positively endorsed.
