Year 8 & 9 STEAM Club
On Wednesday 11th and 18th May, the Year 7 Science Club and the Year 8 & 9 STEAM Club joined together to take part in workshops, run by a representative from the Linnean Society.
The workshops began with information about Carl Linneaus, the father of taxonomy (the science of naming and ordering) and continued with students being set the task of using art to represent key scientific themes. The first workshop focused on creating prints to show interactions between species that were either mutualistic or parasitic. The second workshop, producing stop-motion animations to tell the story of an endangered species. All the students were enthusiastic and impressive, and we are proud of how these students represented Kingsbury High School.
