AQA Unlocking Potential Programme

On Wednesday 18th May, two of our  Lower School students went to Oliver Goldsmith with two of our Upper School students. They were there to lead an afternoon of activities with Y6, based around their mission: Live, Laugh, Learn. Hilton Xavier and Rayne Ramsey were amazing!

They started by presenting to a group of 50 Y6 children about their project and the aims for the afternoon, which they did so clearly and confidently. They then went outside and taught small groups how to learn certain skills (e.g. juggling), and rewarded them with superhero stickers that they had designed and produced for the day. They were supported by Miss Withey and their athlete mentor, Hannah Beharry, who was the first female European boxing champion! She has been a real inspiration to the four students, and you can learn more about her here: https://www.hannahbeharry.com/

The students have spent months planning this day, and now they have their celebration awards day to look forward to in July, which will be held at the Gherkin in London, where they will meet Dame Kelly Holmes!
