Kingsbury Schools Together Climate March
Kingsbury Schools Together (Robert Southwell, Kingsbury Green; Kingsbury High; Roe Green Juniors; and Oliver Goldsmith) students marched to demand action on climate change on Thursday 17th March. There were children from infants right up to sixth formers in their final year of school. All shared a common message demanding action from the people of Kingsbury to do their part to avoid climate change. Headteacher at Kingsbury High, Alex Thomas said, 'I was very proud of all those who marched down Kingsbury High Road to the Mall - it was a fantastic event of noise and colour. The reaction of passersby, shopkeepers and traffic showed that young people acting with one voice can change the way people think about things. I felt very proud of all the children there.' Thanks to Mr Simmons (Headteacher at Oliver Goldsmith) for organising the event and fliers, particularly as the OGS children who were among the youngest had by far the longest walk.
