Send My Friend to School 2021

Students in Year 7 on Friday 9th July spent the day focusing on ensuring all children across the world receive their right to an Education, Article 28 in the Unicef Rights of the child. The Covid pandemic meant that in April 2020 8 out of 10 children across the world were not in education. 258 million children were missing out on school even before the pandemic struck. The poorest and most marginalised children – girls, refugees, children with disabilities, and children affected by conflict - are much less likely to be in school and learning. Year 7's are asking our MP and World leaders to ensure that these children are not forgotten and that world leaders prioritise all children receiving their Right to an Education. All students have created a school for the future of what schools across the world need, for example flood defences in parts of the world impacted by Climate change and at the end of day came together to form 28 to be a visual reminder to us all. Thank you Year 7 for your dedication to raising this important issue on behalf of all children across the world.
