Coronavirus Update 12 March 2020

The Government is keeping their information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) updated: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-information-for-the-public

The school will stay open and operate as normal unless there is a change in official advice. Your child should continue to attend school as normal unless there is a specific reason not to do so based on official Government advice (see link above). If your child is unwell, please follow the normal school procedures for reporting absence unless it is related to the advice above.   To report a student's absence call  020 8206 3000  / option 1.

All planned school events, such as parents' evening, trips, etc. will go ahead as normal unless you are advised otherwise.

If you have any queries or questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the school.

Remote learning during a  school  closure

In the event that English schools are required to close as a result of the continuing spread of Coronavirus, Kingsbury High School has plans in place to ensure that pupils are able to learn remotely. Rather than choosing to adopt new technologies or capabilities, we have decided to utilise systems and processes which are already widely used across the school. These are tried and tested and have the advantage of being familiar to pupils, staff and parents.

Learning will be provided remotely via school email and the Show My Homework portal (that all students have access to).  We will be doing special assemblies to ensure students are reminded how to access and submit work.   Pupils will be expected to work in accordance with their timetable and can expect to communicate with their teachers via email / Show My Homework during the times that they normally have lessons.
