High School

Tuesday (7th Sept) saw our annual EPQ event.  Twenty five Year 13 students presented their findings of their extended projects.  This represented the culmination of a year of independent research, hard work, perseverance and time management. A sample from the many questions that caught people's eye this year include:

  • Should Fanfiction be considered as a Legitimate Genre of Literature?
  • Is there a gender bias in English law?
  • Will the US Peace Deal 2020 actually bring peace to Afghanistan and should it be accepted?
  • Is it possible to terraform Mars in the 21st century?
And there were many more!
During what was a more challenging than normal year, we have seen truly inspirational work from a cohort of highly dedicated students.  The skills they have developed over the course of their EPQ will hold them in good stead for their future education.  We wish all our EPQers the best for their future and, of course, with their final submissions of essays next week.
