• Component 2: Depth Study 2O – Democracy and Nazism: Germany 1918 - 1945
IN THE SECOND YEAR STUDENTS STUDY ALL THE AS TOPICS PLUS:
• Component 1: Breadth Study 1C - The Tudors: England, 1485–1603
• Component 2: Depth Study 2O – Democracy and Nazism: Germany 1918 - 1945
• Component 3: Historical Investigation (coursework). This is a choice of 5 questions on the February 1917 Russian revolution
Assessment
Component 1: 2hr 30 exam, Component 2: 2:30 exam, Component 3: 4500-word essay
• Coursework: A personal study based on the student’s choice of 5 questions on the February 1917 Russian revolution. The coursework makes up 20% of the final grade.
Entry criteria
GCSE Requirement: Overall, four GCSEs grade 6 and above. Minimum GCSE grade 6 in History and English Language. We prefer performance in essay-based GCSEs such as such as Geography, Sociology English Literature.
