|Recent years have seen great developments in the way we engage our stakeholders. For example, a new parents and friends association has established a termly Parents’ Forum which enables all kinds of issues to be discussed and similar forums are in place for staff and students.
A good example of engaging with our stakeholders has been the issue of school uniform where Governors made changes after extensive discussions involving parents, students and staff.
Key features of the changes are:
- Either a crested blazer or a crested jumper may be worn as the top item of uniform
- A new tie in the school colours was introduced for Year 7 in 2011 and is working its way through the school!
- Any plain black footwear may be worn (the school issues guidelines as to what is sensible)
- An optional summer crested polo shirt has been introduced and may be worn from 1st May each year: it is available in light blue, dark blue and white.
Full details of our uniform policy can be found at the Featured Content section on the right of this page.
Physical Education and Sport at Kingsbury High School is considered to be a key component in the all-round education and happiness of our students. It occupies a central role alongside other subject and extra-curricular areas. It is very important that our students learn how to adopt a healthy active lifestyle that they will continue long after they leave the school.
Feeling confident and comfortable is an important factor in the enjoyment of physical activity.
We have this year introduced a new range of bespoke kit that we hope will help your children to take pride in their appearance and performance. The new PE kit is compulsory for our new Year 7 intake from September 2015 but optional for Years 8-13.
The PE kit is only available from the school supplier Sportswear International.
Parents are able to order garments on-line, by phone or by post by completing an order form. The garments can be paid for by credit/debit card, cheque or postal order. The new kit is available to order from 22nd July 2015.
There are samples available in school in each size and style for students to determine correct size required.
Delivery of garments will be free when delivered to the school address. Garments delivered to a home or nominated address will incur a £4 delivery charge. Orders placed with SWI by 5pm on a Thursday will be ready for collection from the lower school reception on the following Tuesday.
